Sidamo, Ethiopia – Origin of the Bean
CHF13.90
Smallholder cooperative | Origin of Arabica
Flavor: Wild berry, chocolate, lively
In the highlands of Sidamo, in southern Ethiopia, Arabica coffee still grows almost wild – under shade trees, in rich biodiversity and entirely without industrial intervention. This region is considered one of the birthplaces of coffee – the Arabica bean was first discovered here, and its essence lives on here to this day.
The coffee comes from a smallholder cooperative that traditionally picks, sorts, and sun-dries the beans by hand – every cup reflects this care. The taste reveals typical Ethiopian characteristics: vibrant acidity, fruity wild berry notes, accompanied by a delicate hint of cocoa.
A coffee for explorers – complex, vibrant, original.
